So is the $25/$30 a late fee only? Or is that a reconnect fee? If it&#039;s a late fee only, then how much would the reconnect fee be?

Is it a coincidence that the fees went up right after the story about council juggling funds to cover the gas account?</description>

AND, on top of that...”the town currently cuts off service for about 30 later customers per month”??? W.T.H. are they thinking? Some already can’t afford their bill! Are y’all trying to add to that problem by raising the late fee!

		<description>@ Chelleepea-- you are right, they were sent out on or before the first day of the month a year or so ago.  You were lucky if you got yours on the 7th, I kept checking the post office and finally got mine on the 11th.  I know once they take them to the post office it&#039;s out of the hands of the town.  But I can&#039;t figure why it takes them a week longer to get them in the mail now.</description>

		<description>I have worked for a water utility company for the last 18 years, we have gone from manual readings to radio read meters and see far fewer issues. We have about 11,000 customers and it takes us a day and a half to read rather than a week and a half. We have also gone to a third party billing and it works fantastic. I know that if someone would make changes and see them through the utility systems of Century could at least sustain themselves financially.</description>
