I spoke with her today. She has several broken ribs with other injuries but is in good spirits. She is a loving, kind hearted person which we need more of in the world today. Prayers for a speedy recovery my dear friend.

Her friends and I spoke with her this morning and she will recover. She says the turtle survived the incident as well.

I too hope this lady makes a full recovery, I hate that she was injured so badly.. BUT PEOPLE it’s an animal, not a small child on a bike…. cats, dogs, squirrels, deer, armadillos … RUN OVER THEM… better that than to loose control and get yourself killed or worse, hurting someone else.

I was right behind her when she stopped.the vehicle was rolling backwards towards me. When she realized the vehicle was rolling, she attempted to get inside to stop it the door knocked her down and her vehicle rolled over her. My son jumped out of my truck and stopped her vehicle on the steep roadside.

Turn your signals on, pull off to the side of the road, watch for traffic in both directions, if conditions are safe rescue the turtle.
I admire her for her actions, but safety of one’s self is also important. All life is precious and worth saving.

So very sorry this happened. I wish more people were kind to animals. I hope this lady heals quickly and completely and is in as little pain as possible.
