i was here at tate when they started building that and it looks good so far and i like it can’t wait to see the finish product they are doing real good in this heat I could not do that in this heat

…well , I was in the Tate Band from 1959-1963…Joyce Sidorfsky never had a tower…she was probably 5 feet 6 inches…and that is as high as she.ever. got…but Tate band was always fun…

Many great memories from both the tower and the black top back in the early 80’s. Graduated in ‘83 and Mr. Slayton was definitely the one that helped to get most of us through school and become pretty good adults. Was not easy but certainly taught us responsibility. For that, I will always be grateful to him. Best friendships ever made was back in those days!

I remember this. Class of 1976. I was not in band but sure loved watching them. I lived close by and would ride my horse to the school during the summer and watch the band and football team practice.

This wasn’t my tower, it came after we left, but man there are many memories on that black top under the watchful eye of Mr. Hooten and before him Mr. Slayton! Many tan lines made over those summers and friendships still 20+ years later.
