Hopefully this means that drivers who want to go faster will take 29. It will certainly improve the safety of of using Old Palafox on my leisurely drives.

Went through this intersection today for the first time since this wonderful improvement. Never understood why there was no light here. It was horrible when the plant changed shifts. So nice now.

There are no turn lanes. At high traffic times it will bottle neck traffic out to Hwy 29 just like at Ten Mile Road. Good idea, but poor design

There was no traffic light at this intersection 20 years ago. I’ve lived in my house since 1989 and the intersection remained unchanged until this set up. Hopefully everything goes well.

After looking at the photos , it appears atlease the west bound lane has a left turn arrow. So it might work out.

This didn’t work last time because of the lack of turn lanes. The traffic has only worsened since then. Why do they think it will work now? Just wait until shift change at the plant , school buses and hazmat trucks stopping for the tracks. Hopefully the lights are only green east and west bound one at a time. Fingers crossed !!!

I’m happy about this. Last week we almost got hit when a car ran the STOP at Palafox & Old Chemstrand. Would like to see improvements at Kingsfield & Palafox like turn lanes & protected arrows
