Mr. Rick, I'm not sure who you are sir! But I appreciate you speaking from your heart cuz it sounds like you know my brother pretty well. And I appreciate you approaching this conversation without judgement! It's easy to judge the addict, but we never stop to ask what got them to that point we just see where they're at and handout judgment instead of help!

Lebowski... I don't know you either, but I hope you never have an addict that is close to you and have to deal with the same thing. Cuz I myself have went through the same that he's going through but I know that God is faithful to sustain him and deliver him and bring him through it just like he did me! So take your judgement somewhere else my friend! I'm not perfect and have a long way to go as we all do I believe. I'm sure there are things in your life that needs cleaning up as well it just hasn't been publicly shared so let's start there!

Rick, I'm sure had you offered Aaron your money, or possibly possession of your watercraft, he would have gladly accepted it in lieu of your willingness to defend his actions.

I'm also sure he would have continued to accept any object or payment you offered him. The problem you might encounter though, is that he would go on to accept your charity well past the point of your liking. He knows you would understand as, "A man will do things he wouldn't normally do to ease the hardships of his family."

....."family" may likely be interchangeable with "habit" in the previous sentence.

Dope will make people do all types of things. @Rick…people fall on hard times every day and you don’t see them going out and stealing things. His record alone speaks volumes. There’s plenty of jobs out there and/or services to help people who”as you said” fell on hard times. I do agree with you on one pint…we aren’t to judge another but a thief is a thief no matter how much sugar coating you put on top of it. I would hope this fella would get his act together (i do not know him in a personal way) but until he owns up to his issue(whatever the case is) he’s going to continue down the path he is on. Prayers for this fella to straighten up before he’s a victim of a land owner/property owner who catches him in the act of what seems like his new profession.

This is not Arron, he normally would never steal . But times in the past couple years has fallen on him hard and since everyone in his family has been a in life's struggle since the death of his grandparents, he has no one to help him in hard times . He wasn't the kind of person he's become. What turned him into the person we see today, is the separation from his wife and kids , I can honestly say that he love his family, and the past couple years has really put them and most American families in a bad way, when a person loses everything they ever wanted, that person lives an everyday heartbreak, from his wife, from his kids, they lost their home and were on very very hard times. A man will do things he normally wouldn't do to ease the hardships of his family. If you have never seen a time when no matter if you tryed your very best and it still didn't matter because it still isn't good enough, this is desperate times to a man wife a family, I think every man would like to say he wouldn't do what Arron did, but we will never know what we will do until it's our turn.

I wish all thieves were caught and prosecuted quickly. The rest would not get the idea they could get away with it.

Just doing it at all is still good, just not AS good.

David for better people
