Wow, first thank goodness everyone is OK.

Second, for a simple report to keep public informed, so many respond with hurtful, hateful, and uninformed opinions.

Third, the Tahoes’ in question are not the same as the general public drives. These vehicles have been modified for speed, handling, and durability. Also these officers undergo many hours of training and before hitting the pavement.

Fourth, let’s remember ECSD did not write, publish, or determine outcome of this report… that would have been the FHP.

Fifth, lawsuit…. really so much unknown, yet let’s sue the ECSD (which belongs to all of us). If lawsuit is warranted… sue away.

In most cases, when a mechanical failure is noted in one of the many of a fleet of vehicles, all the vehicles are taken out of service .until they.can all be inspected to insure the same mechanical failure doesn’t happen with the other vehicles, in this case for the officers and the publics safety.. It will be interesting to see a report on how the rest were inspected prior to returning to service. Wonder if Chevy was consulted about this because anyone who owns a Tahoe might need to have their vehicle inspected also.

Y’all sure are quick to judge on an incident you know nothing about unless you were actually there. Tire failure, brake failure, front end failure and other stuff can all happen when taking the stress of a curve. Keep judging though. Way to support the blue.

Everyone please remember this term mechanical failure !!!!! Sounds so sweet and puts the blame elsewhere quickly!!!!! Don’t forget mechanical failure it a two word way to keep from taking blame peroid !!!!!!!

Mechanical failure??…. hit the curve going too fast. The only failure was “operator failure” to take his foot off the accelerator and hit the brakes. Not hatin on the police. Would say the same thing no matter who it was. We all make mistakes…. just own it.
