Sorrento Road is the main artery going to the west end beaches, used by people going to work, tourist, and locals living in that are. The road is narrow. Problem is, there are no immediate plans to improve the roads to handle traffic load. Infrastructure in Escambia County lacks good judgment and leadership.

@concerned. Can you be any more negative? A long stretch of road prompts a carefree person to speed up. Don’t! There are speed limits for a reason. Slow down and enjoy the scenery God gave us. Bless these people and their families through this tragedy, Lord.

There needs to be some sort of change to Sorrento Rd!!! To many accidents and deaths. There has to be something aside from drivers needing to pay more attn but aside from that, we need to brainstorm what can make this road safer!

This really isn’t about dangerous roads. I travel Sorrento almost every day and see idiot drivers making unsafe decisions every time. I don’t know why this happens but add some rainy conditions or construction and more idiot drivers appear.

I travel that road fairly often and never crossed the centerline.
I also don’t text while driving and do wear my seatbelt.

List of the most dangerous roads in Escambia County:

ALL of them. There aren’t enough cops to enforce the speed limits, it’s a mess out here.

SORRENTO RD / SORRENTO RD / SORRENTO RD….we keep hearing of crashes and people killed or seriously injured along that narrow stretch of road.
Wish someone with the resources could provide us with a listing of Escanbia Counties Most Dangerous Roads.
Of course, we all know it’s not just the road, it is the person(s) behind the wheel who are truly responsible for these accidents.
Sadness on that road too many times over years and years.

o my goodness this is happening more and more often as I’ve said before the driving skills are different in other states than it is here in pensacola. my heart goes out to this young man’s family the world will never be the same. the older you get its so much harder to recover from trauma. I pray for this lady’s healing I’m sure she never seen it comming. pensacola will soon be known as death valley? so for those moving here remember thousands more are behind you. just way to many people in Florida. I’m certain these hurricanes that are comming will put a damper on Florida. ( drive safe )
