It’s almost a foregone conclusion that these two “children” will likely get a sweetheart plea deal and probably probation with anger management class – which they will likely violate several times all in the name of “restorative justice” before a judge has no choice but to actually take them off the street.

Unfortunately, when you combine the massive number of cases combined with comparatively few assistant state attorneys (i.e. 1 attorney covering over 100+ cases at a time) – and extremely lenient judges (not all though) you get the mess that is this – I am willing to bet that this isn’t these juveniles’ first time in handcuffs. ECSO hands them repeat offenders with good cases but they remain in the street – after taking a deal.

Teenagers and they are already committing armed robbery and carjacking. Bright future ahead of these two.

Let us hope they both get tried as adults. Then we get to watch the parents cry and proclaim they were good kids just with mental problems, and they didn’t know they had a gun, and it’s the cops fault blah blah blah.

I hope NorthEscambia follows up with this story. I would love to know the criminal background of these two and if they were on probation already thanks to a liberal judge. I would also like to know who the judge was if that’s the case so I know who not to vote for.

During a felony, if you say you have a gun but dont show it because you. State law still convicts that you had a gun. A bb gun can kill. A young man in Mobile died from a bb not too long ago.

@RaD they certainly have, and likely intended to give, the victim the impression they had a firearm. That it was a BB gun should not matter, the victim would reasonably fear for her life since she would reasonably believe they threatened her with a firearm.

BB Guns are not firearms so while they may be charged with being armed, I doubt they will not be charged with anything specific to firearms.

17 and lucky to be alive !!! So hopefully they will get the max sentence when convicted!!! See people like this are a menace to everyone including their selves and probably easily could have killed a innocent person so now it’s time to pay up !!! I would like to see them get at least 40 yrs each no gain time do all in prison no deals all of it !!!
