"Just think of all the baby birds and other babies trying to get away from this. B"

About the only babies n a field are field rats. Not baby birds. The rats at them.

The alternative to burning a field is turning it under with a tractor would would also kill the field rats. And pollute the atmosphere from diesel fumes and herbicides.

But let me guess, there's no need to grow food in these fields when you buy it at the grocery store?

Just think of all the baby birds and other babies trying to get away from this. Baby birds can't fly yet, so they burn up and die. I feel if you are going to do a control burn, do it when it's not baby animal season.
