I will congratulate these students for a great accomplishment thru highschool. However the Rotary club fails to address any Highschool student that chooses to do dual enrollment and successfully completes an Associates Degree thru Pensacola State College. It is a slight to those students they get no recognition from the school, they were not allowed to go to the prom and the list grows. Just because I have a smart child does not mean they should be excluded. So yes I call this unfair practice. Your Dual. Enrollment students deserve recognition for their achievement. After all the dual enrollment was designed for the the students who would have been bored in the classroom and set the bar so high the others would not have been able to achieve this honor.
So great Job and congratulations to all the Dual enrollment Students when are slighted by the Rotary Club you out performed your High School by graduating from College first. Great Job.
