A lightning strike about 100' from my front porch while I was watching the storm. Explosion of orange and red, with a blue arc followed by a smoke trail about 50' west of a big oak. Can't find any evidence of the hit except for a small brown line on the lawn with a 1" hole in the ground at the end of it. Closest I have been in a ground strike, and no desire to set a new record.
