I wish we could get truck traffic limited on Fowler Ave south of 9mile. There is one small viaduct over a large drainage ditch and 8mile Creek runs along side an industrial building. The viaduct was replaced in the 90’s and I don’t believe there is anything stopping runoff into the creek from the industrial site. It is a 2 lane road with a high percentage of residential properties and increasing industrial traffic isn’t a good fit.

I think they should close all roads so you could stop all these problems. Especially 97, Don’t let anyone go down it, plant trees again.
Ok maybe just a red light at every intersection.

No trucks on the north end of Fowler north of 9 mile. Trucking companies are south of 9 mile

I agree Debbie, one day someone is going to get hurt or killed the way they back traffic up in front of Jim Allen, all it’s going to take is one of those big dump trucks to come flying around that curve and not be able to stop. It’s just a matter of time.

I’ve never seen a big truck (big rig w/trailer) use this as it’s not practical for a combination vehicle with a 53′ trailer. Not saying it’s never been done, I just haven’t seen it. As a Truck Driver, there’s no logical reason to use Fowler at this location; it’s not shorter, nor easier to negotiate.

What about all those RV’s and work trailers that need to get into the storage facility at Hadji? I’m sure many of those (combined) weigh more than 10,500.

As a Truck Driver, I can say that many of the “No Truck” signs are posted in places where we can’t see them until AFTER we’ve already turned. You can’t then expect to back up, that’s even more dangerous.

I agree with Laura Cook. I live off of Devine Farm Rd and Hwy 97there is a bad curve right at that intersection. People fly around that curve going way past the speed limit of 45. When are the police going to slow down the traffic on Hwy 97??? The speed limit should be lowered. How about putting a working red light at 297A and Hwy 97??? I know of three people who were rear ended, my husband being one, as they where stopped to turn onto Hwy 97! These areas have exploded with traffic and it has become a big problem.

Beulah rd from muscogee rd to the landfill has weight limited wooden support bridge that was recently repaired due to failing wooden pilings. It has @ 32 ton rating. Semi trucks, all sorts of dump trucks , concrete trucks , garbage trucks go over it daily. There isn’t a sign til you get to the bridge. Enforcement never happens. It will collapse soon enough. Enforce the law!!!!!!

Now if they will do something about the parents parking in the middle of the road on 95A in front of Jim Allen Elementary school . It’s very strange that the parents coming from the north to the school will pull off to the side but the parents coming from the south are like ‘” nope I’m entitled and all you others can just drive down the side of the road “. A lot of people who are not from the area don’t realize you can get by on the side and have to just sit there. Those parents start lining up an hour before school lets out if the ones at the back part of the line every day would just time it so they arrive about 8 or 9 minutes after they let out they will be able to drive right straight through. The people at the school do a great job of keeping it moving and the line is almost completely done in 10 minutes but because they are who they think they are the traffic will be backed up for a half a mile . WHY DON’T THE PARENTS COMING FROM THE SOUTH PULL OVER TO THE SIDE ??? You could draw a line and say where the most intelligent and RESPECTFUL people live , sorry…oh nevermind I’m really not.
