FPL/NextERA is a racketeering ring that operates under the guise of a public utility. The four-year rate settlement the Florida Public Service Commission approved was sold as an 18% rate increase spread out over a 3 year period. Three months into their racket it is evident that was a complete lie. Most people are paying at least 30% more month.

The sad thing is that for most of them, it is a big improvement.

I used to work for Gulf Power and this statement is absolutely false! The linemen with Gulf always worked diligently to restore power; it’s actually the other way around. Before I left, and after FPL took over, they could care less how long it took to restore power. We should all pray that a hurricane doesn’t occur this year; we’ll be without power for months!!

I saw the net metering bill passed the Florida House yesterday. That’s really disappointing and even worse that one of the local representatives co-sponsored it. I’m happy to see Representative Salzman voted against it though but she was outgunned by the FPL lobby. FPL’s power grip is too tight on Tallahassee, the Public Service Commission, and all of Florida.

We let others do the work, pay the price, take the risks.“ In the case of China, the thing that keeps us from producing cheaper is the US EPA, Labor laws, and all the other regulations that we have that China does not. I’m no tree hugger but last I checked it’s a pretty serious deal to mess with a gopher turtle hole… and you mean to tell me on the hundreds of acres destroyed for FPL’s NW Florida solar farms there hasn’t been one gopher turtle?

Since FPL as taking my paying ten times more than what use paying and even I have done stuff to cut the cost of my bill it’s still higher than average..
