We get ice on those roads & it can be very hazardous driving, especially with some out there not knowing how to drive on ice. Snow better to drive on. As far as the other closures, maybe they could have looked at instead of full closure to come in for noon or so. I just tried to call Farm Hill Utilities, (they’re not on list of closures) and no answer. What’s up with them. A good call to close the schools for safety of EVERYONE. Just to let you know, you must be a very unhappy person to write such a hateful response. Number one, I was raised here in Pensacola. I know about hurricanes. Number 2, my husband was stationed up in the Northwest, and I fell in love with the Northwest, and after his Military plane went down and he was killed, I stayed up there to raise my kids. Fast forward, I moved back here to take care of a sister that was dying of cancer. After she passed, I decided to stay and be around family. Believe me, if I was able, which I"m not, I would be back up there in the Northwest, where people are more friendly.. I hope you have a nice day, and I will be praying for you. BARBARA. As for closing ALL county offices...I DISAGREE! I also used to work in a county office, and personnel don't usually show up to work until 8:00 or 9:00 anyways. That's plenty of time to assess the conditions then proceed. I absolutely agree with closing schools today.
