Ya'know back when the owners first changed a year or so ago they promised "no more third party pay sites" yet here we are 2022 and we're still being forced to use Speedpay and pay an extra fee for the privilege. You would think that a megalithic conglomeration such as FPL could afford their very own payment system but no not in the bottom line, I guess.

REGARDING:
"I called in and paid with debit and I got a confirmation number."

That works but charges a fee.

You can call the same number and pay by giving them your bank account information (same as on the bottom of a check) and make a one-time payment, which they will store and can use again if you so wish.

Works pretty fast. (They seem to realize they should not hinder your ability to give them money.)

David for free energy, payments until then

The new FPL login web site: https://www.fpl.com/my-account/login.html
As I said, your customer GP account number will remain the same at GPL. Also remaining the same from GP to FPL is your login user name & password when you will now login to FPL. If you don't presently have one, you can set one up at the new web site, to put in your bank payment information if paying online, even if your bank account information is the same as you have been using with GP for online payments. Do NOT continue trying to pay at GP, as it may not accept it, or if it does, the payment may not transfer to FLP. I hope this info helps!

@Barbara Boone---You can pay FPL in the same manner, but you will have to log onto their web site & put in your banking information. Your Gulf Power customer account number remains the same, as does your web site login user name & password information from GP to FPL, if you presently have been logging in. If not, you can set up a login account with FPL to set up the banking payment. FPL has a number of payment options, including what you are presently doing, & automatic monthly withdrawal is also an option, along with several others, such as paying by mail in using a paper check. Do not continue to pay into GP as you have been. You must give FPL your banking account information, even if it is the same as you have been using with paying GP. If using auto pay, it appears they wait at least 11 days from the billing date until the automatic withdrawal. You would think they would take it out immediately on the billing date.

My bill will be due January 8,2022. I pay every month through my bank’s email site. That site is through Gulf Power. How do I pay that bill? Will I be notified by Florida Power if I need to switch the power company name? I intend to continue paying my bills myself. I do not want the power company, whomever to pull my bill from my bank. Please let me know how to set up bill paying account if I need to shift the address to Florida power.

To Anne...
Not just linemen but, line women work for them as well as others such as men and women that work at the plant also! When it was gulf power and was a coal fired plant and gas when needed, there were lab technicians, electricians, operators, ware house employees and coal handlers that worked at the coal docks running cranes, tractors, tripper floors, conveyor belts and other needed equipment to keep the plant running. Now that next era has taken control there is no more coal, just gas, and u will soon find out that it is not as cheap as they want u to believe it is! Hope u had a wonderful Christmas and have a prosperous New Year!
