Ok. Looks like a joy ride turned into a Oh no I got caught moment. Would you of wanted this person regardless of the car she was driving to hit you maybe hurt or kill you or your family member. That’s the real story. Right?. She’s the one running on 4 cylinders….hats off to the officers for noticing her. I say. Thank you!

The look on her face in the mugshot looks like she could care less. Just like she did when she ignored the deputy. Perhaps someone should teach her about the law. Maybe the Judge will.

@ Stumpknocker, I’m not sure which elderly woman you are talking about, but I’m pretty sure Rasheed Jackson is referring to the 33-year-old woman who was arrested for driving the wrong way on I-10 while drunk. You can read the article from Jan. 24th.

Smells like it is, the wrong way driver/DUI was an FHP arrest. They choose which part of the predetermined bond scale to you. This case is an ECSO case and based on the circumstances, the deputy chose to go on the high end on the bond schedule.

People have to understand that the recommended bond schedule is court and given to the law enforcement of that county. Police can go lower and higher so long as they can justify the reason for higher. Some choose to stay right at the bond schedule. The first appearance judge can adjust it how they see fit. If a bond is set to low or high, the judge can address it.

This person needs to have her DL revoked.
She could have killed a persons family or more.
Proves being 18 dont make you an adult.
Then again with her mentaity…she would drive on a revoked DL.
The officer did right by the method he caught her.
If he would have continued the chase it would be in my opinion a greater chance of fatalities.

@kane the Pontiac did not out run the police cruiser, why because the deputy didn’t chase the Pontiac, the deputy to note of the driver and tag number, then followed up with an investigation, no chase occurred. As far as the bonds go the elderly lady suffered from dementia had no idea what she was doing or why, therefore no internet. This young lady knew what she was doing and exhibited intent , so the bond and charges are different.

Looks like she knew what she was doin. Because she will most likely end end up with a mis at best maybe year probation in the end and not drug charges or dui .

….unless she had over 20 grams which would have been a 1st degree felony. And yes, I agree it’s ridiculous to have such a steep law against the use of a PLANT, but we here in the south are scared to death of it!!
