As a graduate of TATE I say welcome home to stay !!!! Now ya got to get to work on the things so desperately needed to TATE HIGH SCHOOL. The old guys like Scotty Madison and all the others in the year of 1976 were great and proved it all the way to championship time Bring back a winning team we are depending on you mr Aggie alumni !!! Coach Summerford they need you very much. Also Neil summerford I new hope he’s doing well!!!!

Rhett played at Tate, I played for his Dad Neil at Tate from ‘74-‘77, and his Grandfather Max was a long time Math Teacher at Tate.

Welcome home Aggie! Good luck Coach Summerford on bringing the Aggies back to the winning tradition of the 70s and early 80s!!!!

CONGRATULATIONS Coach Rhett. Great deal for Tate. Hopefully this move can return Tate Football back to a winning team. I know it will take time to get things going in the right direction but with Coach Summerlin I see it happening. @Confused, I reckon the answer to your last question of “what do we do now”???? With the transfer rules, West Florida is the most difficult school to win at. No one is allowed to transfer in and if a student leaves they cannot come back. So he had to make the most with the talent that arrives in each freshman class. And he did an excellent job developing the kids he had. Can’t wait to see what he does at Tate! Go Aggies!

Why would he leave West Florida when they were doing so well. Obviously he’s a good coach but why wouldn’t he keep improving West Florida? Of course Tate needs the improvement but what now for West Florida?
