There is no such thing as private medical information today.
The HIPA issue as ANYTHING ELSE ONLINE is pure fiction concerning privacy and rights. When any data about you is online is can be accessed by many you think cant and ones you dont think have that ability. It has nothing to do with security as there is none.
And you do not have to be a hacker furthermore.
Do you thing all this info you put on paper at any facility, no human sees it.
Our society is flooded with breaches of information. Where humans are involved, it will always.
It doesn’t matter what any person or institution tells you.
It’s a lie, and as I stated, we dont want to talk about that. Our information is never secure and never has been

@Bill they can only access the information that a patient previously gave to EMS on another call. They never eluded to being able to access the patient’s hospital and/or doctor’s records.

Did I read this right? HIPA doesn’t apply to EMS. They can access medical information regarding services, treatments, diagnosis, and such rendered by medical professionals not working for EMS.
