Have there been any school shootings stopped by an armed security guard? Why is the solution to school shootings "more guns on campus"? Wouldn't better vetting of gun purchases, increasing access to mental healthcare, and prosecuting parents who are negligent with their firearms be more effective? I'm glad to see Escambia County recognizes that school safety is important, but this seems like a step in the wrong direction. Unrelated, $15/hr?
