We have some of the darkest and most dangerious intersections in the world. This should be part of a requirement for any Intersection. I don't want to start listing them because I won't have enough room for them. Bu I will say again "At Every Intersection where a County and State Road Intersect". It amazes me all the money the state put into widening the road and they didn’t add lights. It’s wider than Cervantes and look how that turned out for pedestrians before folks wised up to have lights installed. I see pending tragedies in our future. There needs to be some governance and enforcement regarding excessive outdoor lighting and the light pollution it creates. Light pollution can be a distraction to drivers, can be a form of trespass against neighbors, and can harm the mating cycle of fireflies. It would be good if we required that all outdoor lighting use motion sensors including street lights. Of course, we could also use some public education awareness campaigns about the mean to ensure your vehicle's headlights are properly aligned and in compliance with our very limited laws.
