You know what’s a shame? That our schools don’t teach how real life works. Evidently economics 101 if taught at all is taught by Marxists. This generation never has enough of other peoples money, which they do think they are entitled to. There are very high paying jobs out there if you’ll just show up for work and lay off the drugs.

I thought America was supposed to be the greatest country on Earth. If so, why are people working longer hours for less pay here than almost any other industrialized country?

Minimum wages and entry level positions are not meant to support a family. If you feel that because you have a job you should be able to afford a home and a new vehicle then you are the problem which can be surmised with one adjective……entitled.

@Bob, no it not actually sad, when I started out I had no skills whatsoever, I worked two jobs and put myself through trade school and made a great living for myself, so I wouldn’t change it for anything. I have the ability to look back at my accomplishments as well as my family and hold our heads high. And these traits have been passed down to my children and grandchildren now.

If you don’t like the way capitalism works then feel free to move to another country using a socialist, communist, or dictatorship system. We don’t have walls keeping people in, but we should have better walls keeping illegals out. You need to be happy where you live and if you are not, then take charge of your own life and move elsewhere instead of having the government make changes for everybody. You and others should not try to change our system when the vast majority of us like it the way it is. Have a nice day.

That’s sad, and I am truly sorry for you.

But why does that justify making life worse for the people just starting out and trying to build a life for themselves? Shouldn’t anyone willing to work hard earn enough to pay for the essentials required to live?

@Realitycheck when my minimum wage job didn’t pay enough I took on a second job and have always worked hard. Never in my life have used any kind of public assistance, workers compensation or even made an insurance claim, I’ve always worked hard to provide for myself and family, and I started working at 13 and continue at the age of 60.

hey I want $50 for this tomato and squash is $50 each and I have potatoes $50 each one dozen eggs is $75 I also have whole mullet you clean yourself for $85 each . I can cook you a plate of food for $250 ? you get the picture that’s what it’s comming to. maybe the rich needs a taste of what the poor people are going threw.
