My father served as well in U.S Army 61 to 84. He is now buried at NAS Pensacola’s Barancas Cemetary. When I visited at Father’s Day I stopped at the gate and was given a six month card. Surely you can stop and visit the cemetery, can’t you?

Football stadiums all over the country are filled almost to capacity. However, the CO at NAS Pensacola chose to have the Homecoming Air Show at the beach. Hard to believe!!! I served in the US Army, 1968-1973 but didn’t retire. Therefore I do not have a DoD ID and cannot get on the base to go to the cemetery. I am hoping the CO will reconsider his decision and have the Homecoming Show at NAS . I bet the Buke Angel aviators would prefer that too.

You might want to consider enlarging the airshow area to cover maybe gulf shore to east of Navarre . Let a radio or tv station broadcast announcer live. Get a huge audience with balcony chair seating and full bar with no drive home. No traffic control . Promote as the largest most comfortable air show around. Just a thought. Joe

This is a disappointment for myself and family. I enjoyed the air show on NAS over the severely crowded hot beach. The displays, vendors, food and beverages is a plus for the on-base show.

I hope NAS re-considers this change.
