My once hometown of Pensacola. What a shame. A city rapidly (for a long while) declining into a deep, dark hole of epidemic drug abuse, trafficking and death, child predators, child murderers and senior citizen abusers. I wouldn’t live there again even if one of the Good Ole’ Boys gave me a (overpriced) home to live in, an expensive car or a bank account full of money. Thinking about moving to this town? Buyers Beware. Beyond the beautiful blue water and white sparkling sands lay dark, dark, ‘murky waters’.

This woman needs THE WORST possible outcome of this to HAPPEN to her..killing her own poor child and in front of a witness…I’m praying the grandmother wasn’t in on it. I’ve read in these comments about maybe she did this due to her daughter being of special needs and I agree with the one poster who stated that she could have let others know how overwhelmed she was…I agree with that’s what she should have done. But, TO KILL YOUR POOR DEFENSELESS CHILD like this…NO MAAM! You go straight to HELL and do not stop at GO! This is beyond sad…I personally know parents with special needs children and they even put themselves through higher education to be able to afford better care for their children…she deserves the “eye for an eye” type punishment

Why Manslaughter and not Murder? Does one slam furniture onto the abdomen of a person in hospital bed and then proceed to put enough bodily force on top of the furniture to fracture ribs and damage organs without realizing that such an action could well result in death? If in a fit of violent rage after the destruction of a crayon one person struck another with a piece of furniture and then stopped and the victim then died of their injuries, I could see that as manslaughter. In this case there are two steps the aggressor took and a tremendous amount of force required. That was her daughter and she was helpless in a hospital bed. Not only did she savagely strike her in the torso with a large object, she proceeded to crush her to death after that. Even if less than a minute, enough time passes for reasonable thought to enter the mind and give a person pause. This was murder and an unspeakable betrayal between parent and child. Manslaughter isn’t justice.

The woman was likely thinking only of herself and how unfair her life is and seems to have reached the end of her rope. If she couldn’t take care of that poor child, she could have told hospital staff that she was feeling overwhelmed and arrangements could have been made for respite care or even adoption. Rest in peace, Jasmine.

I have two special needs children and this breaks my heart.

I cant use the actual words on here to describe what I really feel about this woman. Hopefully she will suffer the same fate that she carried out on this child. I’m sure that there’s a special place in Hell for sick twisted people like her. I hope there is anyhow!!!

I can’t wrap my head around this, children are a blessing from God, and a special needs child at that, children don’t ask to be here, their a gift, and for her to be so selfish and take that sweet babies life, she needs to be charged with more than manslaughter, she needs to be in jail for life and the grandmother needs to be charged to for sitting there letting it happen, if someone tried to hurt my children in front of me they would have had to call the coroner to that person not my child, it would be a bloody mess, may God be with this sweet angel and her family in the time of their loss, and their is a special place for mom’s like this, just a purely disturbed woman.
