Absolutely NO law enforcement in Cantonment or beulah. I live on west Robert's road and a lot of those 9 mile road drivers continue north on pine forest road thinking they are short cutting to Cantonment and about every one of them are going well over the limit and pass going up hill, and try to pass against our left signals as we turn into our driveways. Repeated requests to the sheriff's office go ignored. All they would do is put up a sign with a radar telling you your speed. It's a joke. The fhp will not do traffic enforcement on a county road due to speed limits set by local authorities. You are so correct. Absolutely NO law enforcement in Cantonment or beulah. I do agree with the person who stated that people should leave for their destination early enough so that they can arrive without speeding. I too leave a little early to account for heavy traffic, bad weather, road construction etc., so that I can drive the speed limit and have a more pleasant drive and not risk an accident or ticket. When people ride my bumper because I am driving the posted speed limit then I just slow down. Some people get the message and back off, others get the message but continue to ride my bumper because they are simply jerks that could care less about the law or safety of those around them. Therefore, I will not care about the jerks on my bumper while I am getting to my destination on time. I don’t know the cause of this accident because I was not involved. It's the people that are in such a hurry that are making it so dangerous. Here's an idea, Leave earlier and you won't have to speed. Cannot count how many times I've had trucks fly up to my bumper when I'm doing the posted 35MPH WITH WORKERS PRESENT. Then they ride my bumper wanting me to go faster. The FHP really should be out there ticketing people. People usually slow down when driving through Gulf Breeze because if you don't, you Will get a ticket. Not around here in Beulah or Cantonment....
