His basketball skills are legendary. He was, in my opinion, the purest shooter I have ever seen. He led the state both years in scoring average which was over 30 points a game. He lit up the scoreboard every night with his signature bombs from beyond what would be now the 3-point line. I have many fond memories watching Jimmie play each night. It was unforgettable. He was a remarkable basketball player and a fine teammate. My condolences to Jimmie's extended families. I knew Jimmie from Jeff Davis Jr. College when we attended from ‘67-’69.
