Coach Donnie was like a dad to all of us girls he loved everybody he’d always say “hey girl how you doing” but he taught me how to play softball and everybody got close to him we miss you and love you coach Donnie. We always had the best times with Donnie

Justin and I are so sorry to hear about Donnie’s passing. I always enjoyed taking with him and he was always such a good guy. Prayers go out to Jackie and her family.

I was so sad to hear of Donnie’s passing. He was loved by all who knew him. He was a constant presence at the ballpark and an excellent coach!
My prayers go out to Jackie and the rest of his family, I know they will miss him terribly.

Well said Mr. Walker. Donnie was more of a man than most will ever be. I was Donnie’s apprentice over forty years ago. We worked construction at Monsanto and at the mill until he retired. He was the hardest working man I’ve ever worked with and never backed away from a challenging task. Donnie always looked at the positive side in everything. My deepest and heartfelt sympathy to Jackie and family. He will be forever missed.

In addition to his great personality and community service, Donnie was one of the healthiest, hardiest, strongest, and most active men in Escambia County. COVID-19 killed him. Get the vaccine!
