@Ensley Boy Are you serious in the way you think like that? Competitive bidding is what the economy and the local citizens want. I dont know of many who are willing to pay a higher price for goods and services when it can be purchased for cheaper , especially when everyone submitting a bid has to follow the same guidelines and specifications. Start a business of your own and see how far you go with your rationale.

Got to remember the project was given to the lowest bidder. You get what you pay for.

About time. This project was to be finished 2 1/2 years ago. If there are no penalties for running behind, roads in Escambia County will never be finished on time. I realize this was a state funded project, but you would think our commissioners and county leaders would have made enough noise to get this product finished. Why was there such a long delay?

DOT really needs to repave Hwy 95A north of the paper mill. Especially from Quintette Road and Hwy 95A intersection up to Hwy 29 and Hwy 95A stop sign! That road is worse than an old timey washboard!

What a blessing to finally have this done! We have lived in this immediate area since 1996 and are now able to come and go quickly and easily. And, by the way drivers, you can now use 9 Mile rather than 9 1/2 Mile to help cut down on heavy traffic on a narrow, residential road.
