As a parent that child attends that school. And also lives pretty much across the street, I can tell you fist hand no one slows down through here. Not even with construction still going on. I’m very thankful for the principle here. He assured that my son would NOT cross the road to get to school. He made sure that a bus was assigned to get him back and forth so he was safe. No one pays attention. I’m very thankful for the staff that stands up for our children to keep them safe and ESCO for enforcing and trying to slow people down. These are people babies and parents dropping of their babies. People please pay attention when at ALL school zones. Don’t take a life or alter someone’s lives forever just to get somewhere a few moments earlier.

My my, how quickly we forget why there is no funds for our children’s safety at crosswalks, we spend that needed money on statues.
Putting up stoplights is not going to help because the same drivers that are speeding
Are running the red lights! No one is held accountable for stupid decisions! Not the
powers at be nor the habitual drivers. Just another helping
of collard greens!

I have seen people actually pass a school bus even when the stop sign is out I’m finding out people have no regard for children for their family and I’m sure that most that have passed buses probably have children of their own in the way I feel about it if you need to leave early if you’re going to your job or is my mom used to say you should have left yesterday

People who dare speed in school zones, pass buses, etc., probably don’t have children. This fact should free up their time to do community service and pay big fines with all that extra cash!

this is the perfect way to rake in some big time cash for escambia county with the tickets they could write and be able to hire about 20 more deputies place them in traffic cars this could help fund not only new hires but drug bust and d.u.I drivers as well as impaired drivers. it could also help purchase new patrol cars the finest in the nation. pensacola is way behind in placing more units on the street we need at least 20 more officers in the traffic division no joke. I’m sure the county knows this and besides these deputies desire a nice Christmas bonus. we can do this. write those tickets.

There is not a single place including schools that people do not speed and hope not to get caught.
It is a national issue not limited to here.
Stop fining and start revoking licenses for a year in my opinion would be a great start.

This fine deal is just reducing the offense to a county monetary fund through the courts
so you can keep doing it.
But this county would need to grow a set to get this passed.
Bunch of unics running this county have found that fines are just money. Guaranteed money in this county as others.
There is profits in speeding for the county.
5 year revocation of DL

The unics of this county are true to form…money for the coffers

Same with DUI 5 years revocation.1st offense .
