The Perdido Key area used to be this quiet sleepy little Beach community is no longer that very crowded and congested at the four-way the new gas station has brought new headaches but I guess great for tourists and new subdivisions going in adds to the highway construction …. Florida has always been slow to get anything done especially on our major highways

The traffic West on Gulf Beach Highway, crossing to the bridge is a MESS! Cars wait forever to cross left/right/or west. Something needs to get done. Real traffic hazards there every day!! Also, one can hardly exit the Ascention Hospital during rush hours.We have seen many drivers turning left to Perdido running the red light also. The problem is increased also by the new gas station. Where is our traffic management to observe the issues and make changes to the dangerous area?

I wish they would check cellphone records of people involved in crashes.
The road is just fine there and the weather was clear.
This wreck was caused by driver error.

Sadness for the life lost and family so heavily hurt.

This road was never intended to handle the large amount of traffic and not only tourists or beach goers.
Many people work in Florida and travel this route from homes in Alabama and likewise the Florida folks work in Alabama. Lots of traffic is to work and from work.
The Sleepy Little Village out there on Perdido Key is no longer that, it is a thoroughfare for daily drivers.
No possible traffic solutions, just be Careful and be Alert for others.
