I read @BT’s post and immediately said, “sarcasm”. @BT knows there are laws preventing criminals from possessing firearms. Yet here is a convicted felon with a firearm.

You want to stop convicted criminals from owning a firearm? You’ll have to make it a “death penalty” offense, because our current laws do nothing to discourage it from happening.

@BT they dont let convicted felons have guns… convicted felons get guns off the street. If u read the charges it says “possession of a firearm by a convicted felon”. Meaning he cant legally possess one

@steve. Their modus operandi in escambia County is to charge with as much, for as much as possible and hope to get a plea 2 or 3 levels down. You clearly watch too much CSI

It has to be planned in advanced and the prosecutors have to believe they can prove 1st degree murder and win that case. You don’t want to try for 1st degree and lose the conviction because the jury doesn’t accept that it was planned far enough in advance, thereby failing to full meet requirements of 1st degree murder, when you know that 2nd degree is a slam dunk.

Anyway, I suppose leftists in America think this is proof that I should be disarmed. It’s too bad people like me don’t have a political party to support our natural rights to arm ourselves for our own defense.
