When Ronnie McNesby was Sheriff the field kitchens and other Escambia County Sheriff's Department support facilities were sent to the Mississippi gulf coast to be used by Escambia Deputies when they assisted in Hurricane Katrina relief. As the story went, these units were discovered by other agencies and became "very popular."
Helping hands and good camaraderie for a very stressful time.

Not sure what happened with the units in the last administration.

Didn't the ECSO have large mobile Field Kitchens that could go on-site to prepare hot meals and quick snacks for the First Responders?
Are those still available?
Great to be able to send "THOR" to Surfside
