Otherwise, the spec of your computer has practically no affect on your upload/download speed from your ISP. There are some caveats over wi-fi. I suppose if your computer is old enough and you're running on 802.11b then you won't see a speed increase if you're at 10Mbps right now, but any newer wi-fi card and you're good. And if you're running over ethernet (directly wired in) then you wouldn't have to worry about it anyway. @Mike

Cost me under $100 for the upgrade and it will boot up, connect to a high speed internet network and load multiple webpages in under one minute, if I’m on top of my click game that day.
