I have been hit twice by hit and runs. Found out that 1 out of 4 drivers have no insurance. Neither driver who hit me and fled was ever caught. Probably why insurance rates are so high.

After seeing the above photos & damage of the struck vehicle, it seems unbelievable that the hit & run vehicle was able to leave the scene, with the damage it also must have had.

Hit and run offense is not as punishable as DUI. That’s why legislator should pass law making hit and run offense just as punishable offense as DUI. Stop giving criminals an incentive to leave the seen of a crash.

All hit & run drivers are cowards. The FHP will bring the driver to justice. Hope there were no serious injuries.

@ A Alex. you mean even if just messing with the infotainment system ? maybe was lost …phone rang…looking for radio station etc. maybe just a fine if no injuries…
would $15,000 work ? nothing payable by insurance?

MANDATORY AUTOMATIC ,NO EXCEPTIONS ONE YEAR JAIL TIME FOR HIT AND RUN DRIVERS,AT LEAST ONE YEAR PER INJURED OR DEATH.
