@ rufus lowgun, you are so very right. Did y’all know that the county had another so called industrial park in Escambia county? It flopped and still flops.the place I’m talking about is the “Commerce Park” on highway 29 in Cantonment near quintet road.

..when ECUA bought that property years ago , I was told by one official, that they were going to provide parking areas and hiking. Trails , etc..I evened drove one official thru the property , Spanish Mill creek , and the place where the Old Spainish trail crosses that creek..This is pristine property..from one hill , you can look across the Escambia River basin and see 6 watertowers in Pace , and Air Products across the bay..
This is the last pristine property left left in Southern Escambia county..The county spent millions of dollars on the property on US 29 which has only a few businesses there..

What happened to the central commerce park on hwy 29 north of cantonment, it was supposed to be money maker years ago when they built it.
It only has 3-4 customers in there now, smh.

With this industrial park in the works, why do we need need more industrial park space on the former Navy landing field sight by Navy Federal? Is there lots of demand for this type of zoning? Has Ellyson Field industrial park EVER been at capacity? Something doesn’t smell right about all this “industrial park” space that comes up every time a parcel of land becomes available.
