Only about a third vaccinated. Lagging behind many other parts of the country. Now this newcvariant on the horizon. Here’s the deal folks. We will reach herd immunity one way or the other.For all those who don’t get one of the vaccines a substantial portion will develop some immunity from having gotten covid. The question is how sick will they get and how many of them will die from it? Makes no sense to me. If you weigh the risks of vaccine or no vaccine it’s factually so much in favor of getting a vaccine. Facts do count. Political notions, conspiracy theories, baseless anxieties don’t. I just hope for a quick route to herd immunity no matter how we get there. It’s not that I wish this virus on anyone. I wish nobody would get it. But I also don’t have a lot of sympathy for people who ignore their own good sense. For those who have vaccine allergy and can’t be vaccinated, those are foremost the people I feel sympathetic to. It is your choice otherwise, and really only you, notwithstanding a few vaccine breakthroughs, will live or die of the consequences of your decision. That’s just the hard truth. Notice how many items you pick up and look at in the grocery store. Use sanitizer or wear cotton gloves. Remember to wash homemade masks & cotton gloves. Clean bottom of your purses, do not set your purse on kitchen counters, etc. Remember to take your shoes off before entering the house. Keep sanitizer in your car and extra masks.
