This is one incredible vehicle. We were fortunate enough to tour it during a class at the Sheriff’s Dept. I’m thankful that we have something to offer that will help with communications and organization of the rescue efforts

I still remember watching the motorcade of rescue vehicles from Miami-Dave drive into town down Highway 29 after Ivan. It was a welcome sight. I’m glad we can repay them in this small way.

It will help bring all the agencies working on the ground together with a central command. I understand there’s not available space in a neary building to do this. Putting all commanding officers/agencies together in on space has obvious benefits for collaboration, and THOR is equipment with the video, computer and radio resources to make that work even better.

I can”t believe Jacksonville, Orlando , Tallahassee or Miami/Dade doesn”t have one of these vehicles. Why would they request one from Escambia County?
