A 4.7% unemployment rate is considered VERY low by historical standards. AND just about every store I go to is currently hiring. Between a shortage of workers and a structural mismatch issues with skills/openings, there's no way all of these low end retail/service jobs in town are going to be filled anytime soon. To those who argue it's because of unemployment benefits, the numbers don't support that.
