Yes, fatalities among the 50 and older are up but that is due to the increasing numbers of the group. Younger riders still make up the higher number of fatal accidents. This might have something to do with the fact the part of the brain that discerns risk, prefrontal cortex, is not fully developed until age 25. @Just Saying
