She is what she is. People are not saying mean stuff, they are being truthful and honest. She made the conscious decision to drink and then drive, and because of those decisions a man is dead that was minding his own business and not bothering anyone. No matter if it was an accident or deliberate, the man is just as dead, and she needs to pay the consequences of her bad decisions. I do not care how good of a person she is, she got drunk, drove, and killed someone, and for that she has pay, and unfortunately her family will pay right along with her.

I have known the man killed for 20 years, he was simple man and worked hard. He did not deserve this, and I hope she pays dearly for it. His family has no idea yet, we are having trouble locating next of kin, it’s really sad.

Driving a vehicle mixed with alcohol, or drugs, or cell phone usage while driving does not go together. She made the choice to drive. She can become the poster girl to Just Say No!

Her negligence killed a man. She should go to prison.

This is a sad story. She probably didn’t mean to hit him. She doesn’t look like an evil person, but actions do have consequences. I can’t say how I would feel if it was my own family that she hit, but I do know by the grace of God this kind of thing has never happened to me. As I got older and had kids and geandkids on the road this has become one of my biggest fears. I don’t know how we could stop this from happening but I wish we could. This girl is going to have to live with this for the rest of her life but at the same time I feel like DUIs where someone is killed should be treated as a murder and not just manslaughter. There has to be some laws changed so maybe just maybe people will think before drinking and driving. Praying for both sides of this.

Bars and Restaurants serve alcoholic beverages. One drink could cause buzz driving. 2 or more of these drinks could put you over the limit. Still impairs peoples judgment and ability to drive. If you do not have a designated driver who will not be drinking, then don’t attempt to drive. The consequences of your actions could cause other people to die and YOU will go to prison. Here is one more thing. Make the 1st offense DUI an automatic 1 year in jail and see if it happens again.

There but by the grace of God go I. I’m sure she didn’t set out to kill someone but actions have consequences. I can’t imagine what she, her family and the victims family are going through.
It’s just sad for everyone. Praying for salvation.

We are all told about all the things to beware of but drunk drivers come unexpectedly . They hit you and loved ones whether you in a car, on the sidewalk with your kids, or sitting in your front yard. I was young and stupid at one time and drove drunk before. But being alot older changed that behavior. So don’t drink and drive.
