I’ve lived just off 297-A since 1976 when dad got stationed here. I’ve seen this road go from a couple of cars every 15 minutes to what it is now. I hate it but it’s called progress. How about you take some responsibility and plan accordingly and adjust your schedule. Or maybe your name is really Karen.

Slow down JA. It was an emergency fix for a depression in the road (aka small sinkhole) that got larger due to the heavy rain overnight. It was determined to be unsafe because people with common sense know you can’t just throw asphalt on top of a suspected sinkhole. So you should be thanking them, not berating them because people like you would be on here calling for their heads to roll if a school bus hit a hole in the highway and crashed.

Really? How about using some common sense and waiting until after the morning rush to close this main route. There is already heavy traffic at this time with people trying to get to work and take children to school. This morning traffic was backed up and students were late to school on a day of district wide testing. The second day of testing is Thursday. There needs to be better planning prior to maintenance work. I realize this morning was an emergency but tomorrow is a choice. Waiting until after 9 am when schools are in and most people are at work should not be a problem
