The American Rescue Plan is overwhelmingly geared toward low-income and middle-class Americans, who will benefit from (among other provisions) the direct payments, the bill’s expansion of low-income tax credits, child-care subsidies, expanded health-insurance access, extension of expanded unemployment benefits, food stamps, and rental assistance programs.

The American Rescue Plan was proposed by Biden (a Democrat), passed by the US houses of Congress and signed by Biden on 3/11/21. It has wide public support.

What North Escambia voters don’t understand are the smokescreens thrown up by the people they vote for. They only see what they want to. They don’t want to see the huge tax breaks for out of state corporations that only benefit 1% of the population and certainly not us. But you will say it’s not true because you don’t want to see it. Overall you will pay more taxes this year due to Trumps “tax cuts” and Desantis’ “tax cuts” because they are all smoke and mirrors to dupe the middle class. Keep track of ALL of your taxes this year and prove me wrong. This democrat know you can”t.

Lol, anyone spending over $100 on a pair of sunglasses doesn’t need a tax break, maybe laughed at, but no tax break. I do believe my grandparents would roll over in their graves if they knew I foolishly wasted that amount of money on a pair of sunglasses. To each their own though!

Temporarily cutting trivial taxes only defunds needed social programs. Re the comment: “When businesses have a good bottom line, the savings are passed on to the customers. ” , is not true. When business have a good bottom line – especially when due to tax cuts – they buy back their own stock to benefit big business stock holders, NOT ordinary consumers. Take an economics course.
