Of course‘s comment proves without a doubt that most of these sexual/racist allegations against powerful people are politically motivated. The point I was trying to make was that NOTHING ever comes out of these investigations. „Of course,‘please by all means add Trump, Bill O’Reilly, any school principals and/or anyone you can think of to my previous list. Has anyone ever faced consequences, please enlighten me.

Exactly Mr. Jackson. When it is proven that someone was falsely accused. The accuser should be held to whatever the WORST punishment the victim would have had to face. Be it twenty years, life, or even death. Mandatory, no plea, no commuted sentence, no nothing. 100% punishment served. This would stop most of the false accusations. Not judging this instance, just saying.

Accusations such as this should not be taken lightly but we must remember, innocent until proven guilty. There needs to be a full and thorough investigation.
If it is found that these accusations are in fact true, then Mr. Gaetz should be punished to the full extent of the law. This is reprehensible of any person but as an elected official supposedly representing the people this is the worst. How can a person be expected to pass legislation that is to defend and protect when they are taking part in an industry that exploits the vulnerable?
If it turns out the claims are false, then the person or persons who made the false claims should suffer the same punishment as a person that committed the grime.
Too often false accusations are made to destroy a person’s career and or their life, and many times the accuser walks away unpunished. I personally feel when a person falsely accuses a person, they should be held accountable for their actions.

I no longer care who slept with whom or who wore blackface 30 years ago at a Halloween party. That goes for representatives of both parties. Whenever either party wants to sideline a particular politician for awhile they come up with this BS. But amazingly nothing ever comes out of their endless investigations. Except for Epstein not one accused highroller ever paid a price for their actions. Be it the Clintons, Cuomo brothers, Prince Andrew – you name it. People are easy to forget snd move on to the next sensational garbage in a day or two
