Maybe they took their secret to the grave, or maybe still out there hiding amongst us with their cowardly secret. I woke up in the hospital with no recollection of the one that ran the stop sign and T -boned me , only to find out that my own mom found me 3 blocks from the house as she was headed to pick up my sister from school. Still to this day no one came forward to take responsibility for what they did, I hope it still haunts their memory even though after 46 years their cowardice and lack of decency still rules their life.. I am still here, I have penned this story before some years ago , It only comes to mind these days when I read of another hit and run - Bless the one who lost her life, and bless her family, and friends that now have to endure her absence. Then they fly past you going even faster. The funny thing is that when I catch up to them at the light at Mobile and Fairfield most of them are the right turn lane heading towards the military base - just saying.
