As with many things, The Devil is in the Details. What was the age of the “child”? In my younger years a 14 or 15 yr old girl looked their age. Now is another story. Makeup used at an early age, clothes that don’t cover a lot of body parts. Language that would make a sailor blush. Of course girls lie about their age when they are flirting with boys. Of course many young, or not so young girls and boys think nothing of posting nude pictures. This is the world we are living in whether we like it or not. Look at the examples that children grow up looking at! So again we come to details. Was the girl 16? 17? 18? Of course any parent would be shocked to see what is going on. We prefer to think that our “children” would never do anything like that! However, the joke is on us for being so naive.

Don’t be so quick to judge when you don’t know all of the circumstances.

Production isnt as clear cut anymore. With minors on Snapchat/Tiktok/Zoom/Skype/etc it is absurdly easy for predators to convince an insecure young teen to show themselves. The predators then record it and sell/distribute it to the scum.
By letter of the law, the child is the producer and the predator is a distributor which opens up some pretty tricky legal proceedings. Law enforcement (to include DAs) are at a bit of a loss on how to charge them especially if the predator is outside the US. How do you arrest a predator in Russia/China/Venuzuela/etc?

18 yrs is way to much for any young adult to do u put anyone in prison for that long u might as well give them life cause that is all they are going to know and when they get out they are not going to be able to deal with the outside. And this is still a child regardless if he is 18 people make mistakes do i think what he did was ok heck no but 18 years prison is too freaking much where maybe 5 yrs and a lot of therapy would have been better

Law enforcement arrest these sick jerks a dime a dozen, but when it comes to the producers, Law Enforcement is at the end of it’s leash.

The Justice and State Departments should arrest and prosecute these producers, regardless of international incident or political consequences.

Regardless of “return laws”, these people are criminals.

Don’t misunderstand me I am not defending or condoning his behavior. There must be more to this story. A 19 yr old getting 18 yrs in prison seems pretty rough. I’m not saying he doesn’t deserve it but at 19 ish I would not have thought twice about consensual sex with a 17 yr old.
