So because of a contractor not doing their job, we suffer. I hope this delay comes out of the pockets of Skanska, 6 months should have been more than enough time to get a partial opening.

For those of us that live on the point we’re also happy there is no toll iandvit being extended… But our governor Ron DeSantis needs to help for repairs on the garçon point bridge because it wasn’t built for this kind of traffic… Contact your senators and representatives..

From the time it was build, it should have been a no toll bridge. Not a a private entity dictating toll chargers on their revenue Our region is not Manhattan, San Diego or Miami. Some years a go Florida only had tolls on the Florida turnpike and near Disney. Keep the traffic flow going without fees and charges, tourists and revenue will keep coming in , as well as government and private investment.

Instead of moving the date for toll suspension,why don”t they just say tolls will be suspended until the 3 mile bridge opens to traffic?
