There was another wreck there this morning – 3/18/21. Same place/same curve! Looked Iike a rollover – all airbags appeared to have functioned.

It might not have been visible from the road but that traffic cam shows it. I guess nobody monitors them.

I know nothing of this crash, other than it was one of many that has occurred at this location. I travel this route often and observe the many warnings approaching this curve. I am passed regularly by vehicles exceeding what I would consider a safe speed. Also the Interstate is not a County Road. It is designed to meet criteria and standards determined by the U.S. Department of Transportation.

How horrible! There are so many skid marks and gouges in the pavement on that curve and the guard rail is constantly mangled, so I can see how anyone who didn’t witness this accident wouldn’t realize that another one just happened.

So sorry for this family. Wake up Escambia County this is a dangerous curve. There are wrecks here all the time, especially when it rains. My sister had an accident here when a bobtail semi truck did a 360 in front of her and she had to go off the road to avoid him. How many people have to be hurt or die here for the County to redesign this interchange!
