I’ve lived and driven on 4A for over 55yrs.
Never had an accident.
Yes, the road has some stuff curves, and a few potholes.
Those things have NOTHING to do with the number of accidents.
SPEED IS THE GREATEST FACTOR !!! If a driver follows the speed limit, and pays
attention to the road, he should NEVER have an accident.

I have been traveling Hwy 4A for over 40 years. It is true that speed could be a factor for some of the accidents but also true are the road conditions. Narrow road, pot holes in and on the sides of the road and needs restriping. Fog plays an important part in driving this time of year. Prayers going to this man’s family and friends.

there have been numerous accidents in that area. speed has been a cause. the road is narrow, you do have to pay attention in that area.

This road is to narrow and needs to be striped, it’s hell to see with on coming traffic at night

Citizen it appears someone ( West Fl Regional Planning Council)presented their wants to the BCC.
Not the BCC presented projects they had funding for.

@Citizen – Don’t blame it on the county. I have lived just a mile or so from that curve for two decades and have never had issues there. The two biggest problems in that curve are speeding and driver inattentiveness. I don’t know what the issue was in this accident, but I know it wasn’t the road.

The county had a plan in 2015 to improve this road. It ispast time.
Six years ago and still not done.
