Every time the opposing party takes office, these political appointees can plan to be removed in favor of the incoming administration. It's ironic, when President Trump took office, he replaced most, if not all, of the U.S. Attorneys that had been appointed by the previous Democratic President. By the time the national news media was finished with that little bit of everyday business, you would have thought President Trump had performed mass executions. This is normal operating procedure.
