Apartment complex , navy federal and hundreds of buildings have gone up since work started on nine mile road, 29 and pine forest. Yet the construction nightmare continues on these roads. Is anybody holding these multi million dollar road construction companies accountable? Somebody in Tallahassee or Washington please help!,,

Pine Forest Road from I-10 up to nine mile needs to be widened to two lanes, maybe three lanes too. Sure taking them long enough time. Really sad these contracts draw these contracts out so long

Why do they jump around so in working this road project? They work on one section then jump to another 1/2 mile down the road. I would have thought in starting this project and having to coordinate with local, state & federal depts someone could have thought of placing utilities underground. Would that not have been advantageous to do it at the same time they’re tearing up the roads? Get unsightly poles out of the way & have less likely the loss of power & other utilities. Additionally, why have they not incorporated two lane traffic from I-10 northbound to Nine Mile & Pine Forest since they have two lanes from Pine Forest/Nine Mile southbound to I-10?

Weather delays only become excusable when the weather causing the delay is untypical to the work's particular geographical area for the particular time of year the delay causing weather occurs. If the weather is typical, it is a part of a bidder's responsibility criterion to account for these typical weather caused delay events within thier baseline or contract schedule which usually occurs prior to the final award of the contract, but always is submitted before the issuance of a Notice To Proceed.

Any chance we can get an update on when the Hwy 29 project will be complete?

I'm guessing no time soon since I seldom see anyone working the project.

They say Hurricane Michael, 2018 in Mexico Beach and Panama City and Sally in 2020 affected it but yet it was to have been completed before Sally...so that excuse is null and void. And how does Michael being 130 miles away have any impact on 9 Mile Rd. You never see anyone working on the part from I-10 to Beulah Rd.
Roads INC who is also paving the new Publix Parking lot will have it completed before 9 Mile Rd.
I think Escambia County should take a long look at the delays , 2 1/2 yrs, this project has taken and not let the contractors working on it now work on anything else in the county.
SMH...

Biggest boondoggle ever! No one is ever working on it!
From I-10 to Beulah Road is essentially done. Couple of days worth of hard work with a full crew. But, noooooo... alas... we all must wait even longer.
Traffic lights always messed up. Sometimes they never go to green and no one is around, so traffic all has to run the red light after sitting there waiting for 5+ minutes.
Publix started FROM SCRATCH and will be done and generating income long before this mess is ever finished.
Oh... and as soon as it's done they will rip it all up again to widen to 6 lanes... (SMH).

Glad to hear it will open in summer, hopefully this summer. At the rate they are going I think my grandchildren will be living on mars first. If this contractor had been in charge of the moon landing, they would still be testing their rockets.
