Now on to the reason why this man lost his life……..cause he was walking. I have rode bicycles from one end of this county to the other, as well as walked more times then I can count. With that being said this is the hardest freaking place to get around because we all rushing, not paying attention, preoccupied, whatever the case may be. Pensacola and the north end too, is not conducive to walkers at all, trying to make it easier in ensley, kind of.
But for some reason you either get almost ran down or just ignored all together (with blaring blinking bright lights ) and go unseen till right before they almost hit you off the roadway its somehow all your fault. Bicycling around here people are nicer to you then when your walking but traffic is brutal. Frogger don’t have anything on Pensacola. Dare anybody just to walk the block of ensley ( walmrt, teen challenge, habor freight,, to cvs or tractor supply..with the new side walks, watch how many people actually jump those curbs . And please don’t stop traffic or in intersections to let walkers go, its super sweet, but after bout the 3 car to do that, cant take it anymore, cause u can’t just walk if they stop, u have to hussle and that will wear ya out quick like. Yall just quit being selfish and look out for walkers and cyclists.
